The respectable representatives of an famous Belorussian steel mill had a 3-day visit to RS Group from January 22, 2019 to January 24, 2019. The customer has a big purchasing requirement on graphite electrode and RS Group won customer’s graphite electrode bidding in December, 2018, so the customer field visited RS Refractory Group graphite electrode production factory and further investigated our production capacity and company certificates.
The first day, they carefully checked the every production shops of our graphite electrode production factory. They pay great attention to the raw material quality and carefully checked every procedure of raw material preparation: from raw material grinding, screening and mixing to pressing, every production procedure was thoroughly inspected and took same samples for further test.
Then they came to the baking workshop and asked how the baking temperature was controlled, how long it should take for every baking and other technical questions, even the production document was carefully checked. After inspecting baking plant, next came the impregnation workshop. Some production control question were also asked and checked with our workshop workers.
Next the customer visited our impregnation workshop, and asked questions like: impregnation temperature, impregnation time, output of every batch and so on, and asked workers about the daily working responsibility and operation methods.
The last workshop is machining, the main body of graphite electrodes and nipples are processed here and packed in wooden case for delivery. The customer also asked how the accuracy was promised, how the inspection was carried out and so on. Our technical engineers answered the questions in detail, and the customer was very satisfied with the quality control system of our graphite electrode factory.
On January 23, 2019, the customer came to RS group headquarter office to check our production capacity and certificates. The certificate of production, business certificate, organization structure, customers list, system certificates, sales documents and so on are carefully inspected.
When certificates verification was done, finally came the negotiation about payment, delivery, sample contract signing and other issues. The negotiation went on smoothly and every concern is detailedly discussed and made final agreements.
